Running a 2nd Edition AD&D game in North Pittsburgh. We use vanilla 2E rules with 1E flavor and a small amount of house rules. Most of the house rules are designed to speed up play and get us back to the actual game.

The game is set in Gary Gygax's World of Greyhawk and (for the most part), we've been trying to run classic modules. We have been playing since May 2015 and have done these modules so far:

T1-4 - Temple of Elemental Evil (left unfinished)
I1 - Dwellers of the Forbidden City (left unfinished)
B2 - Keep on the Borderlands (finished)

The ultimate goal (so far) is to run the G Series and possibly the D series as well. While the game is set in Gary Gygax's World of Greyhawk, we're using the 2E Greyhawk Wars as the major backdrop for the campaign setting itself. The world will change and hopefully you as the player will make the setting change. Once we get high enoughlevel , I fully anticipate the PCs creating domains, ruling fiefdoms, etc. This is old school D&D, folks!

We currently have six players, each with his own PC. We also utilize henchmen, followers, hirelings, etc. The parties tend to be large (around 10) which is how Gary Gygax ran his campaigns back in the 70s.

I never got a chance to play in the 70s or even the 80s. But I try to capture that magic and would like to think playing in my game is like playing in a game from that time period. Most of us have been playing together for about three years now. We have a good group and I believe the fact that we've been around for going on three years is a testament to that.
